Mounting the sensor

General information

The sensor can be installed anywhere in the motorhome (e.g. glove compartment, dashboard, cupboard, etc.).

The data transfer between the app and the sensor is wireless via Bluetooth Low Energy.

The sensor is powered via a USB-C port or optionally via a 12V power supply.

Mounting position

The sensor must be installed so that the display faces upwards and the USB-C port faces to the rear of the vehicle.

The sensor does not have to be installed 100% straight - it will be calibrated later on.

The sensor can be mounted using double-sided adhesive tape or a special mounting bracket from the 3D printer.

Power supply via USB port

Most mobile homes already have USB ports. These can be used to power the sensor. All you need is a USB-C cable of the right length.

Modern car radios usually have one or more USB ports. If you want to use these, you may need to use a USB data blocker, otherwise the car radio may display an error message.

Power supply via 12V

If there is no USB port available at the intended installation location, but a 12V line is available instead, an Atomic RS232 Base can be used.

The sensor can then simply be plugged onto this base.
