The battery powered sensor is approximately the size of a credit card. With that it can be installed almost anywhere in the vehicle.  
It features an integrated rechargable battery and a magnetic charging port. A USB charging cable is included in the box. The battery has to be charged every 6-12 months depending on the use of the device. The app will remind you to charge the battery once the level has dropped below 20%. |

The sensor is sold via the AliExpress shop of the company "HolyIot" directly from China. The price is around 25 Eur incl. VAT and shipping cost. Delivery will take around 7-10 days depending on your location. |

Before mounting the sensor in the vehicle, it has to be paired with the Level Assist app. To do this, open the app settings and go to "Select/setup sensor".. Select the option "A sensor permanently installed in the vehicle" and tap "Next". The sensor appears in the list of available sensors. Tap on it. To confirm the pairing, the blue button on the sensor must be pressed and held until the dialog closes.

The sensor can be mounted in one of the following orientations. 
1. button on the top + towards the front of the vehicle The app automatically detects the (rough) orientation of the sensor. The installation does not have to be 100% straight (in terms of inclination) - in the next step the sensor will be calibrated. |

After installing the sensor, it must be calibrated. After pairing the sensor for the first time, you will be asked if you want to perform the calibration. Alternatively, you can start the calibration at any time in the app settings under "Calibrate sensor". Follow the instructions in the app.

To enable the use of external sensors in the Level Assist app, an in-app purchase is required. Without this purchase, one of the measurements will be displayed as $$$. You can make the purchase in the settings dialog under "In-App Purchases". There, select "Support for external sensor" (not "Support Sensor App"!!!).
